Throughout the year the NSW Gliding Association will host a variety of events ranging from skill building events such as airworthiness courses or student training. To competitions allowing for pilots to apply and demonstrate their talent. All events can be viewed below:
Scheduled Events For 2023-24
3 - 9 Sep 2023: Airworthiness Assessments
NSW Gliding will be conducting a Course and Assessments for initial issue of GFA Maintenance Authorities, Replacement of Components Ratings, as well as upgrades to Annual Inspector Ratings. The week-long session will be held at Bathurst, NSW.
Prior to the in-person camp, online sessions will take place on: 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 August 2023.
29 Oct - 4 Nov 2023: Coaching Week
Coaching Week introduces pilots to the world of cross-country flying and provides teaching for experienced pilots to fly faster and longer. In 2023, it will be held at Narromine, NSW. Please email coaching@nswgliding.org if you have any questions.
11-18 Nov 2023: NSW State Championships
The 2023/24 NSW State Championships will be held at Lake Keepit, NSW. Information on how to register as a competitor will be provided closer to the date.
2-16 Dec 2023: World Gliding Championships
The 37th FAI World Gliding Championships will be held at Narromine, NSW. For more information, see: https://wgc2023.com.au/
6-13 Jan 2024: JoeyGlide
